After a successful launch and marketing of Yamaha FZ-16 last year, now Yamaha-Motor has felt and seen the potential of Indian automobile market. The company not only enjoyed the overwhelming response it got for it's macho bike in the India's favorite segment - 150cc, but it has also looked carefully for features lacking in it's present model and tried to improve it to meet the expectations of Indian youth, and recently launched the the new improved Street Fighter - Yamaha FZ-S. The FZ-S Bike is launched in two attractive colors: Yellow Streak and Silver Tech.

In the words of Mr. Y. Tsuji, CEO & Managing Director, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.:
Yamaha has set forward on a journey where each and every product of ours will set a benchmark in the market with its technological superiority, quality & manufacturing excellence and style quotient. The arrival of this new variant FZ-S is a clear illustration of how the market has responded to FZ 16. Our strategic intent is to provide customers with stylish variant to suite his fashion statement and personality.
The bike is a more stylized version that comes with an aerodynamically chiseled windshield, a more aggressively styled headlight design and a carbon-fibre replica instrument console along with new color schemes and sporty graphics. The bike has been priced Rs.2000 higher than it's previous version, at Rs.67,000 (ex-showroom - Delhi).

Just 2 days back i was driving my FZS at Bangalore-Mysore highway, i reached to a speed of 116Km/h. I want to clear it i doesn't modified my bike. Some problem i faced that during high RPM near 7000, it starts giving some jerks, looking like fuel mixture is not sufficient. One more thing max it can go upto 7100rpm only after that it looks like that something is stopping engine to give more power. At all it is also not having aerodynamic structure so it is shivering during high speed.

i own this beauty too for the last 6 months. but i am facing a serious problem. Whenever i apply rear brakes even at slow speed, the tyres tend to slip and the bike skids and starts loosing balance. i have had some serious falls bcos of this.

is any one else facing the same problem?? can anyone suggest wat could be wrong and how to fix it please

I agree with you dharmesh. I've faced the same problem, bike skids on road. Braking is not that good. Fz-16 looks are really awesome. Wide rear tyre is great for grip/handling on roads. But at top speed, bike vibrates. Yamaha Fazer is better than Fz-16, but on dump roads- tyre punctures. I've faced this prob many times - and so i sold it. For looks i give it 10/10. Im not satisfied with its performance. It is heavy in weight, more power is required. // Im satisfied with pulsar 200cc & karizma. But looks are comon. Waiting for another companies like HONDA & BAJAJ to launch a sporty bike like yamaha fz-16 & fazer.
