TVS is planning to launch new upgraded version of it's popular bike Apache RTR, with a powerful engine of 180cc as compared to present 160cc engine. The variant called as Apache Menace, is expected to release somewhere in the first half of year 2009. By increasing the engine strength, this will enter the competition against Pulsar 200cc and Yamaha FZ 16, as the expected price is around Rs.78,000 - 80,000.According to TeamBHP, the bike will retain the basic lines of the current RTR, retaining the basic look of the current Apache. But with no front scoop this time. And for a good reason too, the front is now going to house a semi-full faring that will expose part of the engine and give the bike a sport look. The bike will have a digital speedometer with top speed, 0-60 timer, trips, and other extra functionality plus stunning looks.
